With hurricane Dorian pulling the moisture out of the air we will experience some West winds and hot temps this week. I still recommend the half day early morning or late evening trips for snook, and redfish are starting to school now as they do this time of year. The mangrove snapper bite is still excellent and on the inshore reefs. There are still early morning juvenile tarpon in the backcountry that are a blast to play with. These little rocket ships jump way higher and more frequently than their larger counterparts. Bowfishing this time of year is still strong, especially if you’re looking for the larger stingrays. Gator hunting has been fantastic in many areas depending on the amount of rainfall accumulation. I currently have two tags left for hunters wishing to join me.
